Freyrecruitment is seeking a calm, well-organised Chef to join a private sailing yacht on a full-time basis. The role requires running the galley independently, managing budgets and provisioning, and delivering healthy, Mediterranean- and vegetarian-focused cuisine for a discerning owner and crew.

The vessel operates along the US East Coast and Caribbean, typically based in Newport, Rhode Island, with Antigua during the Caribbean season.

A40m+ modern classic sailing yachtis seeking aChefto join on afull-time basis. This is a lovely, well-run and professionally managedprivate programwith an excellent history of crew longevity, offering a stable and enjoyable working environment.

The program operates between theUS East Coast and the Caribbean, with participation inone regatta per year. The owner uses the yacht with friends and family, and the program is well planned, steady and organised. While in the United States, the yacht is typically based out ofNewport, Rhode Island or Maine, and during the Caribbean season the yacht is based inAntigua.

The owners are seeking acalm, down-to-earth and well-organised Chefwho enjoys cookinghealthy, well-balanced cuisine, with a particular focus on Mediterranean, modern American and vegetarian dishes. The successful candidate will be confident and self-sufficient inrunning the galley independently, staying on top ofaccounts, budgets and provisioning, and maintaining high standards of organisation and efficiency.

This is an excellent opportunity for a chef looking for along-term positionon a stable private sailing yacht, working within a respectful and professional team and for an owner who value consistency and quality.

Ideal candidate will be available to start in NOVember/December. Ideally you already have your B1/B2 if not you need to be able to apply for one.

Qualifications required: Previous sail yacht chef experience, B1/B2 preferred
