Job summary

Oyster Yachts Limited is seeking a First Mate and Chef/Stew couple to join an 82ft sailing yacht for a private Mediterranean/Caribbean schedule beginning March 2027. Ideal for a couple who have yacht experience and enjoy hospitality, teamwork, and flexibility in a dual-season program aboard a three-person crew.

The team will cruise between the Mediterranean in summer and the Caribbean in winter, serving up to 6 guests with a collaborative onboard environment and strong guest-focused service.

Qualifications

• STCW certification required or in progress.
• ENG1 certification required.
• Confident with watchkeeping, docking, tender driving, and deck operations.
• Knowledge of yacht maintenance and general engineering support advantageous.
• Strong communication and guest interaction skills.
• Previous yacht chef experience or professional culinary background.
• Ability to prepare fresh, varied, high-quality meals.
• Strong provisioning and galley management skills.
• Experience catering to dietary requirements.
• STCW and ENG1 required for both candidates.

STARTING MARCH 2027, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced First Mate & Chef/Stew team, ideally a couple who are used to working together on yachts, to join an 82ft sailing yacht operating a dual-season private programme.

Under new ownership since June 2026, the yacht is looking for a professional, enthusiastic team to become part of a long-term setup. Cruising between the Mediterranean in summer and the Caribbean in winter, this is a fantastic opportunity for candidates who enjoy sailing, hospitality, and being part of a close-knit crew.

The yacht accommodates up to 6 guests and operates with a crew of three, creating a collaborative onboard environment where teamwork and flexibility are key.

Requirements
