Job summary

Harris Teeter in Mount Pleasant, SC is seeking a store associate to create an outstanding customer experience through friendly service and solid product knowledge. You will answer questions, help customers find items, and ensure accurate labeling and stocking.

Work closely with Murray's Cheese and Fresh Foods to maintain a clean, safe environment, assist in achieving sales goals, and uphold our core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read simple instructions and communicate in English.
• Must be at least 18 years old and capable of lifting up to 30 pounds (50 pounds occasionally).
• Willingness to participate in training and work with the team to increase customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions and help customers in the department and store.
• Maintain knowledge of products and respond to questions with suggestions.
• Offer product samples to customers and inform them of specials.
• Observe operating hours and ensure correct portion sizes and freshness.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise and report discrepancies.
• Adhere to safety, sanitation, and labeling requirements.
