Job Overview

As a Checker under the supervision of the Front End Supervisor, you will maintain outstanding customer service, process sales quickly and accurately, perform cash register operations, and safeguard company assets. The role requires frequent bending, standing, and stooping for prolonged periods, as well as lifting up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service
• Process sales quickly and accurately at the cash register
• Safeguard company assets
• Maintain cash drawer and perform daily balancing
• Assist with inventory and basic merchandise tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish and English; interact with the general public and co-workers
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and memos
• Write simple correspondence
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
• Apply common sense to follow written or oral instructions
• Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, occasionally up to 60 pounds
