Chedraui USA is seeking a Checker for the Houston area Store 031 Houston Edgebrook. The role involves cashiering, processing sales efficiently, and delivering excellent customer service while protecting company assets.

This position requires the ability to work with the public, read labels, and handle physical tasks such as bending and standing for long periods. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write Spanish and English.
• Ability to interact with the general public and co-workers.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to present information in one-on-one or small group settings.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions.
• Physical ability to lift/move up to 25 lb regularly, 45 lb frequently, 60 lb occasionally.

Responsibilities

Under direct supervision of the Front End Supervisor, the Checker maintains outstanding customer service, processes sales quickly, accurately and efficiently, performs cash register operations, and safeguards company assets. The role involves bending, standing and stooping for prolonged periods.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write Spanish and English, interact with the general public and co‑workers.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 45 pounds frequently, and up to 60 pounds occasionally.

Preferred Skills

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate.
