Job summary

Assurant is seeking a Shared Services Specialist in Atlanta to print, balance, reconcile, and quality-review hazard, claims, and loss draft checks. You will ensure accuracy of check production files and maintain records while preparing routine reports.

The role requires basic computer skills, including Excel, and strong organization to handle multiple tasks and deadlines, plus secure handling of confidential data. Schedule is Mon–Fri, 7:30 am–4:30 pm EST.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1 Year Processing Experience.
• Basic computer knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Print hazard, claims, and loss draft checks for clients according to schedules.
• Review and validate check production files prior to processing.
• Balance and reconcile daily check files for accuracy and completeness.
• Verify check totals, sequence numbers, and payment information before release.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to check printing, balancing, or reporting.
• Maintain accurate records of printed checks and related documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, security procedures, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve processing issues and meet deadlines.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation reports.
• Assist with quality control reviews and audit requests.
• Handle confidential customer and financial information securely.
