Qualifications

  • 6–12 months of customs brokerage or related industry experience.
  • At least 2 years in CHB or operations support preferred.

  • Team-focused with ownership and accountability.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted contact for customers with timely shipment updates.
  • Prepare and process U.S. Customs entries and PGA filings for compliance.
  • Open and manage entry files aligning with KPIs and service standards.
  • Coordinate clearance with forwarders, lines, airlines, and CFS for timely release.
  • Track inbound shipments from port/airport to final delivery.
  • Upload all required documents into operating systems.
  • Complete customer billing, delivery orders, and operational reports.
  • Maintain and update customer SOPs as needed.
  • Collaborate with teammates to support peak-volume coverage.

As a CHB Operations Associate, you play a critical role in ensuring our customers’ imports move smoothly, compliantly, and on time. You will manage end‑to‑end customs brokerage operations for a dedicated portfolio of accounts, partnering closely with customers, carriers, government agencies, and internal teams.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for customers, responding to questions and providing timely, accurate shipment updates
  • Prepare and process U.S. Customs entries and Partner Government Agency (PGA) filings, ensuring full regulatory compliance
  • Open and manage entry files in alignment with defined KPIs and service standards
  • Coordinate shipment clearance with freight forwarders, steamship lines, airlines, and container freight stations (CFS) to ensure timely release
  • Track and trace inbound shipments from port or airport through final delivery
  • Ensure all required documentation and entry packages are accurately uploaded into operating systems
  • Complete customer billing, delivery orders, and required operational reports
  • Maintain and update customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed
  • Collaborate closely with teammates and cross‑functional partners to support coverage, cross‑training, and peak‑volume needs

Required / Preferred Qualifications
  • 6–12 months of customs brokerage or related industry experience
  • At least 2 years in a CHB or operational support environment preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Team‑focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent work experience)
  • Customs House Broker License preferred but not required

Salary: $56,000 - $60,000*

  • The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for this position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
