Job summary

Stellantis in Auburn, AL seeks a Vehicle Preparation and Test Setup Driver/Mechanic to prepare vehicles for chassis rolls testing, fuel/test fuel handling, purging evaporative canisters, and SHED testing support. You will transport vehicles between soak areas and the dynamometer cell and connect instrumentation.

Additionally, you will drive vehicles through prescribed test cycles, monitor driver-validity metrics, and follow protocols to deliver high-quality data to the engineering team while

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Valid driverf license and ability to operate heavy equipment safely.
• Strong mechanical skills and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to support calibration testing with vehicle-driving simulation.
• Proficiency with computers and standard software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for chassis rolls tests, including fueling, purging, SHED support.
• Transport vehicles between soak areas and dynamometer cell (PIV).
• Install vehicles in test cell and connect instrumentation/hardware.
• Drive vehicles through prescribed cycles, meeting driver-validity metrics.
• Follow protocols to provide reliable data to the engineering team.
• Post-test: disconnect hardware and move vehicle out of cell.
• Maintain test cell and equipment; assist with troubleshooting.
