Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Emissions Lab Test Technician in Allen Park, MI to support the vehicle development process. You will work with cutting-edge technology to test full vehicles on chassis rolls and perform evaporative emission tests.

The role requires basic education in automotive technology or related fields, manual-transmission driving ability, and proficiency with MS Office. Strong attention to detail and safety are essential for success.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Associates degree in Automotive Technology or two years of college courses in automotive engineering or related disciplines is desired.
Must possess the ability to drive a manual transmission and have a valid driver's license.
Midnight shift: 11PM–7:30AM; strong computer skills in MS Office are required.

Responsibilities

Involved in testing full vehicles on chassis rolls and evaporative emission testing.
Vehicle installation on chassis roll and instrumentation checkout, Calibration of test systems, data validation and analysis.
Follow video road speed traces for various emission test cycles and ensure accurate data collection.
