Collaborate with powertrain engineers to run defined tests, monitor system integrity, and ensure safety and quality during daily dynamometer operations. Must be able to work any shift.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an automotive mechanic, automotive tech, or a related position.
• Will consider candidates with an automotive repair degree/certification in lieu of experience.
• Willingness to work in a team-based environment.
• Basic knowledge of operating a computer.
• Possession of a mechanics toolbox and hand tool set.
• Must be able to work any shift.

Aufgaben

• Perform mechanical support for engine and transmission testing.
• Test article cart installation & removal.
• Standard engine maintenances (oil changes, spark plug changes, compression/leak down checks, coolant system pressurization).
• Part changes (cylinder heads, exhaust manifolds).
• Light fabrication (MIG & TIG welding, machining, cutting).
• Starting & stopping the test article and placing it on the automated test schedule.
• System integrity checks and using the dynamometer control system to run defined tests.
