Job summary

Blue Bird Corporation in the United States seeks a Product Integration and Applications Engineering Lead to own the technical product definition for a new commercial chassis platform from concept through production launch.

This role provides engineering authority for configurations, interfaces, and governance, leading a growing team of Applications Engineers and partnering across Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and body builders to ensure feasible, manufacturable, and commercially viable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Automotive/Mechatronics or related field.
• 8+ years in product engineering, systems engineering, or vehicle integration.
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident; authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Own technical product definition and configuration architecture across the chassis platform.
• Develop and maintain vehicle, customer, regulatory, and integration requirements with traceability.
• Define chassis interfaces and body mounting/electrical interfaces for body builders.
• Own configurations, option compatibility, dependencies and engineering constraints.
• Create and maintain ICDs, specs, manuals and governance documentation.
• Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, sales and sourcing.
