Job summary

Actalent is seeking a meticulous Remote Electronic Medical Record Abstraction Specialist to accurately abstract data from oncology EMRs into the data capture tool while upholding HIPAA standards.

The role is remote, Monday–Friday, with a pay rate of $40 per hour and contract-based engagement. Ideal candidates will have RN with oncology experience, strong data abstraction skills, and proficiency with MS Office and EHR navigation.

Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and efficient Electronic Medical Record Abstraction Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately abstracting information from electronic medical records into the electronic data capture tool, ensuring data quality and accuracy. Adherence to HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements is essential.

• OCN preferred.
• Experience navigating through EHR databases.
• Clinical or pharmaceutical experience preferred.
• Experience in performing chart abstractions in an oncology setting.
• Academic or research experience is helpful.
• Previous data analysis experience is a plus.

Work Environment

This is a remote position with a work schedule from Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM CST. The role requires a stable internet connection to perform tasks efficiently.

This is a Contract position based out of The Woodlands, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
