Job summary

Charlestoncvb in Charleston, SC is seeking a part-time Visitor Services Associate to provide courteous, accurate information in-person, by phone, and online. You will handle ticket sales, live chat, and front desk duties across multiple locations including the Train Museum and Marketplace.

The role requires strong English skills, CRM proficiency, and the ability to work at least 15 hours weekly with some weekend shifts. Training and ongoing support from a supervisory team are provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral communication, grammar and spelling required.
• Knowledge of computers and the Internet; able to use CRM.
• Ability to operate cash register/data processing equipment.
• Knowledge of Charleston area attractions and events.
• Must be able to work at least 3 shifts (15 hours weekly) and two weekends per month.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors at area visitor centers in a cordial, outgoing, professional manner.
• Assist at The Best Friend Charleston Train Museum and other locations as needed.
• Answer inbound calls with information about Charleston area smilingly.
• Interact with visitors via live chat and Facebook Messenger.
• Maintain knowledge of points of interest and events in the Charleston area.
• Record check payments and sales using Simpleview CRM; assist with ticket sales.
• Support front desk operations and route inquiries to appropriate staff.
• Assist with proofreading Explore Charleston websites for errors.
