Job summary

Lovelace Health System, Inc. is seeking a day shift, full-time Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Charge Registered Nurse in Roswell, NM. This role leads nursing care for an assigned unit and ensures patient safety and operational efficiency.

Requirements include an Associate's Degree or Diploma of Nursing, 1 year of Charge Nurse experience or more, CPR certification, and a NM Nursing license (or NM compact license within 90 days). A Bachelor's in Nursing and specialty certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Associate's Degree or Diploma of Nursing.
• One (1) year of Charge Nurse experience in hospital setting OR more than one year of clinical or management experience.
• CPR

Responsibilities

• The Charge RN is responsible and accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, including the nursing management of the patient and staff of assigned area in his/her charge.
• Manages efficient patient flow, appropriate use of supplies and other operational functions.
• Collaborates with the unit managers and/or directors in developing and revising unit policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Serves as departmental liaison and first line of contact with patients, providers and staff.
• Adheres to policies and procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
