Job summary

Ardent Health Services, Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking an Emergency Room Charge Registered Nurse for day shift, full-time. The Charge RN will oversee nursing care, manage patient flow, and coordinate with unit leaders to ensure safe, efficient service.

The role offers a sign-on bonus up to $16,000 and relocation assistance. Candidates should have an Associate’s degree or Diploma in Nursing, and BLS certification; NM nursing license or compact license is required within 90

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or Diploma of Nursing.
• One year of Charge Nurse experience in a hospital setting OR more than one year of clinical or management experience.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire).
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• National Certification in clinical specialty care preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Charge RN is responsible and accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, including the nursing management of the patient and staff of assigned area in his/her charge.
• Manages efficient patient flow, appropriate use of supplies and other operational functions.
• Collaborates with the unit managers and/or directors in developing and revising unit policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Serves as departmental liaison and first line of contact with patients, providers and staff.
• Adheres to policies and procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
