Job summary

Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a night-shift ICU Charge Registered Nurse to lead nursing care in the unit. You will oversee patient flow, collaborate with leadership, and ensure safe, evidence-based practice.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree or Nursing Diploma, 1+ year as Charge Nurse or equivalent, and NM licensure or NM compact license within 90 days. A Bachelor's in Nursing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate’s Degree or Nursing Diploma.
• At least 1 year of Charge Nurse experience in a hospital setting or more than 1 year of clinical/management experience.
• CPR and BLS certification required or obtained within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing and management of patient and staff in the assigned area.
• Manages efficient patient flow and appropriate use of supplies.
• Collaborates with unit managers/directors to develop and revise unit policies and protocols.
• Serves as departmental liaison and first line of contact with patients, providers and staff.
• Adheres to policies and regulations to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree or Diploma of Nursing
• One (1) year of Charge Nurse experience in a hospital setting OR more than one year of clinical or management experience.
• CPR
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire)
