Job summary

Topaz Fiscal Services seeks a Charge Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants in full compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines, ensuring the highest quality of care at all times.

You will direct day‑to‑day nursing operations, enforce policies, participate in QA and discharge planning, oversee charting and documentation, and coordinate with physicians, staff, and residents to maintain safe, compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the facility.
• Ensure that nursing service personnel comply with the written policies and procedures established by this facility.
• Participate in the development, maintenance, and implementation of the facility's quality assurance program.
• Assist in coordinating nursing services to ensure the resident's total regimen of care is maintained.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Chart and document nursing care in resident records as required.
• Maintain the Daily Census Report and submit to the Business Office as required.
