Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Good Samaritan – Luverne is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to deliver individualized care to residents. She/He collaborates with residents, families, and an inter-disciplinary team to plan, implement and evaluate care, in a day-shift setting.

As a charge nurse when required, the RN delegates tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel, ensuring safe, quality care. Licensure and adherence to Nurse Practice Act standards are essential for ongoing

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license in the state of practice.
• BSN preferred; licensure compliance and ongoing competencies required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process for residents.
• Coordinate care with residents, families, and inter-disciplinary team.
• Assess residents, educate and implement care plans; ensure standards of practice.
• May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed/unlicensed staff.
