Job summary

Pine Tree Lodge Nursing Center is seeking a Charge Nurse - LVN or RN to lead quality care and support resident well-being in a full-time capacity at our Longview, Texas facility. This role requires reliability in attendance, multitasking ability, and collaboration with care teams to ensure exceptional resident outcomes.

Responsibilities include guiding direct care teams, administering medications, implementing care plans, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Is a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in good standing.
• Demonstrates excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills.
• Possesses strong communication skills and the ability to organize workflows effectively.
• Responds efficiently to emergencies and pays attention to detail in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care guidance to Nurse Aides to ensure appropriate resident care.
• Administer medications safely as prescribed.
• Execute resident care plans in line with policies and physician orders.
• Deliver treatments to support resident health and comfort.
• Transcribe physician orders accurately and promptly.
• Maintain timely and accurate nursing documentation in resident charts.
• Participate in shift reports to ensure care continuity.
• Educate staff on nursing policies and resident needs.
• Promote a safe working environment through infection control and body mechanics.
• Address staffing needs by arranging for replacement staff when necessary.

Your Impact as a Charge Nurse - LVN or RN

• Direct Care Teams: Provide guidance to Nurse Aides to ensure appropriate care for residents.
