Kemp Care Center in Kemp, Texas is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse – LVN or RN to lead care teams and ensure high-quality resident well-being. You will supervise nurse aides, administer medications, implement care plans, and document care accurately in resident charts.

The ideal candidate is a RN or LVN in good standing with strong communication, assessment and leadership skills, able to respond quickly to emergencies and coordinate staffing as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in good standing.
• Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to organize workflows effectively.
• Responds efficiently to emergencies and pays attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Direct Care Teams: provide guidance to Nurse Aides to ensure resident care.
• Administer Medications: safely administer prescribed meds.
• Implement Care Plans: execute care plans per policies and physician orders.
• Perform Treatments: deliver treatments as required for health and comfort.
• Transcribe Orders: accurately transcribe physician orders.
• Document Resident Care: maintain timely, accurate charts and nursing assessments.
• Collaborate During Shift Reports: participate in shift reports for continuity.
• Educate Support Staff: teach nursing policies and care needs.
• Maintain Safety Standards: enforce infection control and body mechanics.
• Address Staffing Needs: arrange replacement staff as needed.

Your Impact as a Charge Nurse – LVN or RN

In this role, you will:

• Direct Care Teams: Provide guidance to Nurse Aides to ensure appropriate care for residents.

• Implement Care Plans: Execute resident care plans in compliance with company policies, federal guidelines, and physician orders.

• Educate Support Staff: Implement nursing policies and procedures, educating staff on the care needs of residents.

• Maintain Safety Standards: Promote a safe working environment by complying with infection control and body mechanic procedures.

• Address Staffing Needs: Respond to staffing shortages by arranging for replacement staff as necessary.
