Job summary

ScionHealth’s Kindred Hospital Brea unit seeks a capable LPN/LVN Charge Nurse to lead a nursing team and ensure high-quality patient care. You will supervise RNs, LPNs and aides, coordinate admissions and discharges, and uphold hospital policies and safety standards.

The role requires 2–3 years of nursing experience, state licensure as LPN/LVN, and applicable certifications (BLS; ALS preferred). Strong leadership and communication are essential for success in this fast-paced unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• LPN/LVN license in the state employed.
• BLS Certification required.
• ALS Certification preferred.
• IV Certification preferred.
• 2-3 years nursing experience.
• One year supervisory experience preferred.
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate and evaluate patient care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Supervise RNs, LPN/LVNs and Nurse Aides on the unit.
• Develop work assignments and ensure staffing coverage.
• Adhere to hospital policies, ensure PHI confidentiality and safety.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges; review patient status.
