Job summary

Kindred Hospital Greensboro Subacute Unit is seeking an LPN/LVN Charge Nurse to lead a nursing unit under RN supervision. The role includes managing shifts, supervising RNs, LPNs, and aides, and ensuring high-quality patient care within state practice guidelines.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in nursing with supervisory exposure, current LPN/LVN license, BLS, and a focus on patient safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• 2–3 years’ experience in nursing.
• 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan patient care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Document patient condition and needs in the EHR.
• Report observations promptly to the clinical leader and physician.
• Receive and record physicians’ orders.
• Communicate staffing needs and deploy staff.
• Develop work assignments for RNs, LPN/LVNs, and aides.
• Supervise and evaluate nursing staff.
• Participate in staff counseling and performance appraisals.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and maintain PHI confidentiality.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges; perform assessments.
• Maintain positive cross-department relationships.
• Support performance improvement initiatives.
