Job summary

Kindred Hospital Greensboro is seeking an experienced LPN/LVN Charge Nurse to lead designated nursing staff, coordinate patient care, and ensure adherence to hospital policies. The charge nurse role includes supervising RNs and other licensed staff under RN direction and actively participating in staffing and performance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Must hold valid LPN/LVN license in the state employed.
• BLS certification required; ALS/IV preferred.
• 1–3 years supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise nursing staff on the assigned unit.
• Document patient condition and care in the EHR; ensure accuracy.
• Communicate with physicians and the care team; report changes.
• Coordinate admission, transfer, and discharge activities.
• Develop work assignments for RNs, LPN/LVNs, and aides.
• Ensure compliance with policies and quality initiatives.
