Care Initiatives in Iowa is seeking a compassionate Charge Nurse - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for full-time evening shifts to deliver high-quality care to residents. As a clinical leader on the unit, you will supervise CNAs, coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team, administer medications, and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting families.

Qualifications

• Valid LPN license in good standing; license must be valid in Iowa or activation possible.
• Current CPR certification.
• Completion of State-approved LPN Supervisory Course or ability to obtain within first 90 days.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
• Strong commitment to empathy, respect, patience and discretion.

Responsabilités

• Assess residents' clinical status and collaborate on care planning with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide and oversee nursing care, including wound care, IV therapy (as permitted), catheter care and other interventions per orders.
• Administer medications and treatments with monitoring and documentation.
• Serve as unit clinical leader, coordinating resident care and communicating with physicians, leadership, residents and families.
• Supervise and mentor CNAs and assigned staff, promoting teamwork and high-quality care.
• Ensure adherence to regulations, infection prevention, and Care Initiatives policies.
• Provide education and emotional support to residents and families about care plans and goals.
