Job summary

The Hospitals of Providence - Memorial Campus in El Paso, TX is seeking a Charge Registered Nurse to coordinate, support, and supervise RNs, ensuring smooth unit operation and shift transitions. This role includes leadership collaboration with physicians and staff and participation in patient and family teaching.

Responsibilities include maintaining professional nursing standards, guiding a high-performing team, and acting as a liaison across the care team to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in TX or a Compact State.
• Current BLS certification (ARC or AHA) with renewal within 60 days of hire.
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification within 6 months of hire/transfer date.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, support and supervise other RNs on the unit.
• Ensure smooth nursing operations and oversee shift transitions.
• Engage in patient and family teaching and care planning.
• Provide leadership and collaborate with leadership, staff and physicians.
• Serve as liaison between physicians, nurses and staff.
