Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice; compact licenses must be transferred within 60 days.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Unit Specific Certification as required (ACLS, PALS, etc.).
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution; BSN within four years of hire/promotion if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, social, and psychological status on the unit.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop individualized plan of care.
• Direct and coordinate care, staffing, and resources to meet patient needs.
• Mentor staff and promote nursing professionalism.
• Ensure documentation and actions comply with legal and regulatory standards.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement and unit safety initiatives.
• Complete Charge Nurse training.
