Job summary

Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado is seeking an RN Charge Nurse to provide leadership and clinical expertise on their shift, coordinating resources to maintain appropriate staffing and patient care standards.

You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to plan and adjust care, mentor staff, ensure documentation, and activate the chain of command when necessary. This role requires a BSN plus RN license and BLS, with unit certifications as applicable.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BSN required; BSN must be obtained within four years of hire/promotion.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Unit-specific certifications (ACLS, PALS, etc.) as required.
• Mentoring experience and experience in the assigned clinical area.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the interdisciplinary care team on the shift.
• Assess patients and develop plans of care with education for patients and families.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and timely, and ensure safety and quality standards.
