Qualifications

• High School Graduate/GED required.
• Technical School/2 Years College/Associates Degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience in data entry or healthcare.
• Experience in healthcare billing preferred.
• Knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 and insurances; claim submission requirements preferred but not necessary.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong computer literacy with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient demographics, insurance info and professional charges into the health information system for IPM and BH providers.
• Ensure information entered is precise and accurate.
• Reconcile charges and payments; resolve rejections/denials related to demographics, insurance, authorizations/referrals, and charge capture.
