The role requires attention to detail, the ability to resolve error messages, and timely notification of system or data issues; prior charge entry experience is preferred, with a high school diploma as minimum.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year experience in charge entry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enters and/or updates patient demographics and charges according to established procedures.
• Identifies appropriate FSC and insurance company.
• Analyzes error/edit messages, identifies probable causes, and makes necessary corrections when required.
• Notifies supervisor of system malfunctions.
• Notifies supervisor of problems arising from erroneous items, codes, or missing information.
• Performs other duties and assignments as requested.
