Job summary

The Fraternity Chapter Auditor role is an entry-level accounting position focused on monitoring chapter finances to ensure adherence to National Council policies. You will audit monthly reports, prepare journals, and assist in budgeting for each chapter.

You will work with chapters on budget revisions, review transactions in Billhighway, and communicate with chapter officers regarding finances. Strong attention to detail and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Accounting certificate or associates degree in accounting or working toward it, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles: debits/credits, AR/AP, journal entries.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer literacy.
• Customer-service oriented with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to problem solve.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Audit chapters’ monthly accounting reports to ensure compliance with national policies.
• Prepare monthly and year-end journal entries.
• Prepare annual budgets for each chapter.
• Monitor finances and chapter spending for fiscal responsibility.
• Collaborate with chapters on budgeting revisions twice per year.
• Review chapter finances in Billhighway and escalate unusual activity.
