Job summary

Polsinelli PC is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join its bankruptcy practice in the United States, preferably New York. The role demands extensive bankruptcy experience, e-filing in federal courts, and strong case-management skills.

You will support attorneys with Chapter 11 matters, manage calendars, draft filings, coordinate hearings, and interact with court personnel. The position requires 5 days in-office, with start times at 8:30 or 9:00 a.m. and a 1600-hour annual billable target.

Qualifications

• Paralegal Certificate or related degree preferred.
• 5+ years of sophisticated bankruptcy experience.
• Billable requirement: 1600 hours per year.
• 5 days in-office.
• Start time 8:30 a.m. or 9:00 a.m. Monday–Friday with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Extensive experience with e-filing within Federal Courts (CM/ECF) and bankruptcy filings.
• Interpret and apply local court rules and procedures for case work.
• Maintain, monitor and communicate court deadlines and dockets.
• Prepare and file notices, motions, fee applications, and related pleadings in bankruptcy matters.
• Coordinate hearing logistics and prepare hearing materials.

Education

Paralegal Certificate or related degree preferred

5+ years of sophisticated bankruptcy experience
