Job summary

Polsinelli PC seeks a Paralegal to support attorneys in bankruptcy matters across Chicago and other offices. Experience with e-filing in federal courts and CM/ECF is essential. The role requires strong docket management, document preparation, and client communication.

A Paralegal Certificate or related degree is preferred, with 5+ years of bankruptcy experience. The position is full-time with in-office hours, and a salary range of $90,000–$125,000.

Qualifications

• Paralegal Certificate or related degree preferred
• 5+ years of sophisticated bankruptcy experience
• Billable requirement: 1600 hours per year
• 5 days in-office
• Start time for this role will be 8:30 or 9:00 a.m.

Responsibilities

• Extensive experience with e-filing within the Federal Courts (CM/ECF) and bankruptcy procedures
• Interpret and apply local court rules while supporting attorneys with case needs
• Maintain court deadlines and manage complex Chapter 11 calendars
• Prepare notices, motions, fee applications, proofs of claim and related documents
• Coordinate hearing logistics and prepare hearing materials
• Serve as point of contact for creditor inquiries
• Monitor case dockets and perform PACER research
• Record billable and nonbillable time accurately
