Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Part-time Chaplain to provide compassionate spiritual care to patients and families across our hospital teams, delivering pastoral visitation, counseling, and supportive services.

Applicants must graduate from an accredited seminary or divinity school, be ordained or licensed, complete ACPE CPE within one year, and uphold confidentiality while collaborating with clinical staff and local clergy.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited theological seminary or divinity school.
• Ordination and/or licensed by recognized ecclesiastical authority/denomination.
• 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs individual pastoral visitation and provides counseling/services as appropriate.
• Ensures follow-up on referrals and coordinates with community clergy.
• Maintains confidentiality of pastoral conversations and charting of spiritual care.
• Participates in department meetings and supervisory sessions.
• Provides spiritual care and support to patients and families.
