Baptist Health System is seeking an Associate Chaplain to provide spiritual care to patients, families, and staff across diverse backgrounds. You will complete competencies within the introductory period and perform other related duties as assigned.

The role emphasizes ministry, empathy, and collaboration within a supportive healthcare environment, with opportunities for professional development and involvement in hospital-wide spiritual care initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: Graduate of an accredited college or university.
  • One quarter of certified Clinical Pastoral Education through ACPE, Inc., or NACC.
  • Preferred: Master of Divinity degree from an accredited theological school.
  • One year residency from an ACPE center.

Responsibilities

  • The Associate Chaplain is responsible for Christian ministry to the spiritual, emotional, and relational health needs of all patients, families, and staff regardless of age, race, gender, ethnicity, or religious preference.
  • Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
