Job summary

Bristol Bay Area Health Corporation in Alaska is seeking a CHAP Assistant Manager to provide leadership and administrative support for the Community Health Aide/Practitioner Program. This role surveys villages and clinics for compliance with quality checks and supports CHA/P teams in daily operations.

You will maintain CHAP databases, advise CHAP management on clinic conduct, supervise CHA/P staff, and coordinate supplies, travel, and reporting to ensure continuity of care in the region.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to BBAHC and CHAP policies and procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality of corporate business, finances, employee relations, and patient information.
• Acts as a liaison for patients for CHA/Ps with problems or questions.
• Maintains CHAP database for compliance and quality control.
• Monitors CLIA training and CLIA logs.
• Compiles the monthly village council report and reviews content.
• Assists CHA/P in ordering and maintaining supplies and equipment.
• Reviews monthly clinic supply orders.
• Reviews expirations and ensures expired supplies are pulled from stock.
• Reviews weekly incomplete charts from HIMS and contacts the Health Aide as needed.
• Approves Health Aide absence requests and ensures clinic coverage.
• Participates in data collection for Population Management.
• Follows up with villages to ensure orders are fulfilled.

Surveys villages and clinics for compliance with daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly quality checks. Provides daily administrative support to the CHA/Ps in the region. Provides advice to CHAP management regarding conduct of village clinic business and of CHA/Ps. Maintain CHAP data bases as assigned.

• Previous supervisory experience and strong supervisory skills required.
• Familiarity woth the electronic health record and eCHAM iCHAM preferred.
