The Role

We are seeking a Channel Sales Manager for the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. This role drives revenue and profitability by leading distribution relationships at executive and field levels. The manager supports the distribution strategy, develops new business opportunities in hospital and physician office labs, and leads product launches and marketing strategies with distribution partners. The position involves relationship building, routine business reviews, training distribution staff, and representing QuidelOrtho at sales meetings and events. The manager supports regional sales goals and manages distributor strategies impacting the overall business.

This is a field-based position supporting and located within New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Delaware, Vermont, New Jersey, Maryland, and Washington DC. Candidates must be able to meet clients in person on short notice and should have reasonable proximity to these locations.

The Responsibilities

  1. Lead regional distribution strategies to grow sales and meet revenue goals.
  2. Support converting new accounts and retaining current customers through distribution channels.
  3. Coordinate with sales directors and teams to support programs across regions and markets.
  4. Represent QuidelOrtho at distribution sales events and trade shows.
  5. Define opportunities and develop regional action plans for revenue growth and new business acquisition.
  6. Develop and lead training programs on product launches and sales strategies.
  7. Demonstrate knowledge of new products, services, and industry trends, and support regional sales management.
  8. Strategize with sales leadership on distribution and market focus, and conduct business reviews.
  9. Contribute to sales forecasts and monitor financial budgets related to distribution.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

The Individual

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of successful sales experience, preferably in the medical device/diagnostic market, with leadership in sales without direct authority.
  • 3+ years of diagnostics industry experience with distributor knowledge.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to translate strategies into action plans.
  • Ability to lead independently and develop complex accounts.
  • Strong understanding of internal departments and internal relationships.
  • Knowledge of reimbursement and capacity to implement strategies.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and develop strategies.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to uphold company values and handle confidential information.
  • High ethics and professionalism.
  • Ability to work under supervision following established procedures.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70%.

Preferred:

  • MBA preferred.
  • Experience selling capital equipment and/or 2+ years in marketing.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.

Key Working Relationships include customers, distribution partners, sales teams, and internal departments like Finance, HR, IT, Customer Service.

The Work Environment

Outside sales environment, requiring discipline, organization, and self-motivation. Must have good vision, mobility, and be able to travel up to 70%. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and suitable vehicle for travel to customer sites and airports. Typical workday includes meetings, computer work, and paperwork, with physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Salary Transparency

The salary range is $94,000 to $159,000, based on factors like experience and location, and includes incentive compensation. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), employee assistance, stock purchase plan, paid time off, and holidays. Benefits are non-contractual and subject to change.
