The Role

We are seeking a Channel Sales Manager for the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. This role drives revenue and profitability by leading distribution relationships at all levels, supporting new business opportunities in hospital and physician office labs, and partnering with sales teams and distribution managers. Responsibilities include leading product launches, marketing strategies, and sales programs with key distribution partners, facilitating relationship building, training distribution staff, representing QuidelOrtho at sales events, and supporting regional revenue goals. The position is field-based, supporting areas including NY, CT, PA, RI, MA, NH, ME, DE, VT, NJ, MD, and DC, requiring proximity for client meetings.

The Responsibilities

  • Lead regional distribution strategies to grow sales and meet revenue targets
  • Support acquisition of new accounts and retention of existing customers through distribution channels
  • Coordinate and implement marketing and sales programs with distribution partners
  • Represent QuidelOrtho at industry events to promote products and initiatives
  • Define regional opportunities and develop action plans for revenue growth and new business
  • Develop and lead training programs on new products and sales strategies
  • Demonstrate industry knowledge and support regional sales management with strategic insights
  • Manage budgets, monitor performance, and report on regional activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

The Individual

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of successful sales experience, preferably in medical device/diagnostics, leading others without authority
  • 3+ years of diagnostics industry experience with distributor knowledge
  • Strategic thinking and ability to translate strategies into action plans
  • Leadership skills to guide teams and influence stakeholders
  • Understanding of internal departments and processes (Finance, HR, IT, Customer Service)
  • Knowledge of reimbursement and capacity to implement strategies
  • Financial management skills and ability to analyze data
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to uphold company values and handle confidential information
  • High ethics and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently following procedures
  • Willingness to travel up to 70%

Preferred:

  • MBA preferred
  • Experience selling capital equipment or 2+ years in marketing
  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • Distribution partners: drive efforts to meet revenue and new business goals
  • Field sales: lead distribution strategies, communicate with leadership, and support field issues
  • Internal teams: collaborate with sales, marketing, and other departments

The Work Environment

Typical outside sales environment. Must have discipline and organization skills, and be self-motivated to work autonomously. Must have vision abilities, handle physical demands, and travel as required. The role involves a mix of meetings, computer work, and paperwork, with the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Salary Transparency

The salary range is $94,000 to $159,000, based on various factors including experience and location. Compensation includes incentive opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.
