Five9 is seeking an experienced and motivated Channel Sales Manager to help expand our Commercial and Mid-Market industry-leading partner ecosystem. This is a key position within our Channel Sales organization and will report directly to our Senior Channel Development Director. This mission-driven team is responsible for opening new routes to market and helping partners build and sell customer experience offers quickly and efficiently.Some of the major focus areas of this role are:

  • Manage the sale of Five9 products and services through named national (potentially global) partners
  • Drive a business plan that allows us to scale our services and develop a robust partner ecosystem for services across several disciplines
  • Develop an enablement strategy to attract, develop and maintain relationships with various distributors, resellers, or agents
  • Build preference for Five9's customer experience / contact center software and services within partners' portfolios and sales teams
  • Drive global sales results and pipeline development within key national (global) partners
  • Drive partner enablement throughout the entire customer journey lifecycle

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and expand critical relationships within named partners that deliver a profitable business model for and enhance Five9's solutions and services capabilities
  • Help expand the partner community within the Americas to accelerate growth, by recruiting and gaining commitment of national partners
  • Develop, retain and own Five9's strategic relationships within partners that can scale our solution and increase value to customers
  • Develop, deliver and execute viable plan(s) which will represent Five9's interest in promoting partner corporations branding, as well as ensure Five9 is represented as the first and best option for contact center solutions
  • Align closely with Five9 Sales to represent the interests of the assigned partners within Five9 to elevate our partner visibility internally and externally
  • Develop Partner Training and Enablement program and certification
  • Align closely with Sales and Channel to close customer opportunities, manage forecasts and pipelines
  • Structure and negotiate partnership agreements that lead to incremental value and capabilities
  • Develop detailed operational plans with partners to include engagement models, sales targets, and GTM strategies

Key Skills:
  • Proven experience working in a dynamic team focused on building exponential growth
  • 4+ years of experience in software sales, partner development, or business development within a cloud-based environment
  • Emphasis on software sales
  • A demonstrated ability to establish, maintain and grow business relationships successfully, with an emphasis on sales and partner processes
  • Strong operational and analytical skills
  • Ability to describe trends and provide insight from KPI's
  • Strong strategic thinking with a penchant for action and results
  • Excellent project management and creative problem solving skills
  • Exceptional communications skills, with a proven capability for public speaking, professional writing and active listening
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with and knowledge of Contact Center solutions and/or VoIP
  • Experience with National Partners and/or Service Providers in cloud collaboration - CcaaS, UCaaS preferred
  • Experience managing partnerships with consulting firms or systems integrators for an enterprise SaaS software solution
  • This role is fully remote: Region US


Work Location: This role is fully remote for candidates who reside outside the 50 mile radius of our San Ramon office. For candidates who reside within 50 miles of our San Ramon location, this role is Hybrid and would require 3 days a week (M, W, TH) in our San Ramon office.

The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the job across the United States. Additionally, the total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, stock, and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.

All compensation and benefits are subject to the requirements and restrictions set forth in the applicable plan documents and any written agreements between the parties.

The US base salary range for this role is below.

$70,400-$169,300 USD
