Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Regional Outside Sales Manager to manage a high-performing remote team of Territory Managers across the Eastern United States. Reporting directly to the VP of Sales, you’ll drive performance in a fast-paced, quick-turn sales environment.

Your day-to-day will combine strategic coaching, data-driven performance management, field engagement, and cross-functional collaboration. You won’t carry a personal quota, but you’ll be directly responsible for the team’s production. We’re looking for someone who knows how to build and elevate sales talent, ramping up new hires quickly, and holding everyone to a high standard of execution and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a remote sales team of 10+ Territory Managers across the Eastern U.S.
  • Drive performance through structured one-on-ones, Salesforce pipeline reviews, and deal coaching
  • Monitor team metrics and dashboards to ensure consistent activity, deal progression, and accurate forecasting
  • Partner with recruiting and training teams to onboard new hires and build long-term bench strength
  • Conduct field visits to support reps, join customer meetings, and scout new market opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to remove roadblocks and improve sales effectiveness
  • Create a high-performance culture built on data, discipline, and development
  • Ensure accountability through structured feedback, PIPs, and performance management processes when needed

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience leading high-performing, remote outside sales teams — preferably in industrial, construction, field services, or technology-driven B2B sectors
  • Proven ability to manage a full sales cycle and coach reps through discovery, value articulation, and closing
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce or similar CRMs; confident in analyzing dashboards and coaching from data
  • Experience with quick-turn sales cycles and territory-based team structures
  • Strong coaching mentality with a track record of leveling up talent and driving results
  • Willingness to travel for field visits to support new reps
  • Comfortable in a high-accountability environment where performance and urgency matter
