Reporting Line

This position reports to the VP, Industrial Channel.

Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will develop and maintain a highly effective sales channel strategy for a specified market to improve ABB's market penetration and achieve its growth aspirations. You will plan and ensure the execution of the business area/division sales strategy to meet both qualitative and quantitative targets, focusing on orders, revenues, growth, margin, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will lead, develop, and coach the Channel Sales organization.

The work model for this role is remote, contributing to the Motion Drive Products division in the US. Your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Defining and implementing the specified market (global/regional) channel sales strategy, aligned with marketing and sales strategies, with regular follow-up.
  2. Implementing annual performance assessments and forecast processes for channel partners.
  3. Ensuring communication, promotion, and training activities are in place for channel partners.
  4. Designing policies and standards (e.g., market segmentation, customer due diligence, cybersecurity) for global channel partner evaluation and certification.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering.
  • 10 years of relevant experience in sales/business development with variable speed drives, motors, and automation solutions.
  • Knowledge of OEMs, revenue models, and G2M strategies.
  • Proven success in exceeding sales targets in competitive markets.
  • Strong social skills, networking abilities, stress tolerance, cultural sensitivity, and flexibility (e.g., regional travel).
  • Legal work authorization for employment in the US.
