This position reports to

VP, Industrial Channel

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will develop and maintain an effective sales channel strategy for a specific market to enhance ABB's market penetration and achieve growth goals. You will plan and execute the business area/division sales strategy to meet qualitative and quantitative targets for the assigned channel, focusing on orders, revenues, growth, margin, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will lead, develop, and coach the Channel Sales organization.

The work model for this role is remote, contributing to the Motion Drive Products division in the US. Your main responsibilities include:

  1. Defining and implementing the global/regional channel sales strategy aligned with marketing and sales objectives, with regular follow-up.
  2. Implementing performance assessments and forecasts for channel partners.
  3. Ensuring communication, promotion, and training activities are in place for channel partners.
  4. Designing policies and standards for channel partner evaluation and certification, such as market segmentation, due diligence, and cybersecurity.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering.
  • 10 years of relevant sales/business development experience with variable speed drives, motors, and automation solutions.
  • Knowledge of OEMs, revenue models, and G2M strategies.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in competitive markets.
  • Strong social skills, networking, stress tolerance, cultural sensitivity, flexibility, and willingness to travel regionally.
  • Existing work authorization to work for ABB in the US.
