Reporting to: VP, Industrial Channel

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will develop and maintain a highly effective sales channel strategy for a specified market to improve ABB's market penetration and achieve growth aspirations. You will plan and execute the business area/division sales strategy to meet qualitative and quantitative targets for the assigned channel, focusing on orders, revenues, growth, margin, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. You will also lead, develop, and coach the related Channel Sales organization.

The work model for this role is remote, contributing to the Motion Drive Products division in the US. Your main responsibilities include:

  1. Defining and implementing the specified market (global/regional) channel sales strategy, aligned with marketing and sales strategies, with regular follow-up.
  2. Implementing annual performance assessments and forecast processes for channel partners.
  3. Ensuring communication, promotion, and training activities are in place for channel partners.
  4. Designing policies and standards (e.g., market segmentation, customer due diligence, cybersecurity) for global channel partner evaluation and certification.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering.
  • 10 years of relevant experience in sales/business development with variable speed drives, motors, and automation solutions.
  • Knowledge of OEMs, their revenue models, and G2M strategies.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in competitive markets.
  • Social skills, networking ability, stress tolerance, cultural sensitivity, flexibility (e.g., regional travel).
  • Work authorization to work for ABB in the US is required.
