This position reports to

VP, Industrial Channel

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will develop and maintain a highly effective sales channel strategy for a specific market to enhance ABB’s market penetration and achieve growth objectives. You will plan and execute the business area/division sales strategy to meet qualitative and quantitative targets for the assigned channel, focusing on orders, revenues, growth, margin, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will lead, develop, and coach the Channel Sales organization. The work model is remote, contributing to the Motion Drive Products division in the US. Your main responsibilities include:

  1. Defining and implementing the global/regional channel sales strategy aligned with marketing and sales goals, with regular follow-up.
  2. Conducting annual performance assessments and forecasting for channel partners.
  3. Ensuring communication, promotion, and training activities are in place for channel partners.
  4. Designing policies and standards (e.g., market segmentation, customer due diligence, cybersecurity) for evaluating and certifying channel partners globally.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering.
  • 10 years of relevant experience in sales/business development with variable speed drives, motors, and automation solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of OEMs, revenue models, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Proven success in exceeding sales targets in competitive markets.
  • Social skills, networking ability, stress tolerance, cultural sensitivity, flexibility, e.g., regional travel.
  • Must already have work authorization to work in the US for ABB.
