Job summary

Tutor Perini Corporation in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Construction Change Order Engineer to support our project office on a fixed-price design-build program. The role reports to the Project Manager and focuses on change order pricing, scope definition, and cost control.

You will develop change order packages, solicit quotes, analyze proposals, finalize cost proposals, and assist with negotiations. Candidates with 5+ years of relevant experience and strong Excel skills are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in construction or related fields.
• Experience with estimating and change orders in civil projects is preferred.
• Local candidates in Los Angeles area are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review Owner ordered extra work documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Develop scope of work packages for change order pricing.
• Solicit subcontractor/vendor quotes and assemble change order packages.
• Evaluate subcontractor proposals for scope, quantities, and inclusions.
• Prepare price analysis sheets for subcontractors/vendors.
• Coordinate with operations to support cost and schedule proposals.
• Finalise cost proposals and submit to client for approval.
• Assist negotiations to finalize terms and price of change orders.
• Support purchasing and subcontractor/vendor agreements scope of work.
