Job summary

Tutor Perini Corporation is seeking a Field Cost Engineer for our downtown Los Angeles, CA office. You will perform cost/estimating tasks, develop change orders, and manage budgets to support large civil projects.

You will coordinate with operations, solicit subcontractor quotes, analyze proposals, and contribute to CSP development and pricing. Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in civil engineering or construction management.
• 3–5 years heavy civil construction cost/estimating experience.
• Knowledge of cost accounting and budgeting for construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Review owner-ordered extra work for accuracy and completeness.
• Develop scope packages with narratives and take-offs for change orders.
• Solicit subcontractor quotations and prepare change order packages.
• Analyze subcontractor proposals for scope, quantities, and pricing.
• Maintain project budgets and track costs, invoices, and progress.
• Coordinate with operations on CSPs and unit-rate estimates.
• Support procurement and subcontractor vendor agreements.
