Onward Search is seeking a CFT Sheet Metal Modification Technician to join on-site aircraft maintenance. This full-time hourly role offers comprehensive benefits and 401k. Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on experience in structural, sheet metal, machining or composites.
• Technical training from a trade or military school related to structural or sheet metal work.
• FAA Airframe license preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and publications.
• Knowledge of aerospace tooling and QA standards (AS9100).

Responsibilities

• Install and test aerospace structural components following manuals and directives.
• Interpret drawings and specs to support modification, repair, and replacement tasks.
• Perform extensive fastener installation/removal to QA standards.
• Assist in training technicians in re-skinning, trimming, drilling, and installing skins.

• Install and test aerospace structural components, including fasteners and fabricated parts, following technical manuals and directives.
• Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to support modification, repair, and replacement tasks.
• Perform extensive fastener installation and removal, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Support the training of other technicians in re-skinning, trimming, drilling, and installing aircraft skins.
• Maintain detailed documentation of work activities and QA compliance, adhering to safety standards.

CFT Sheet Metal Modification Technician Qualifications:

• At least 4 years of hands-on experience in structural, sheet metal, machining, or composites.
• Technical training from a trade or military school related to structural or sheet metal work.
• FAA Airframe license with relevant aviation experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical publications.
• Knowledge of aerospace tooling, structural repair standards, and QA standards such as AS9100.
