Job summary

SelectTech Services Corporation is seeking an Airframe Technician to support maintenance of aircraft structures. The role involves assembling major structures and performing precise minor fitting tasks with measurement tools.

You will align parts on jigs, verify dimensions, modify assemblies as needed, and monitor quality per procedures in a fast-paced aerospace environment. Strong reading of schematics and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5-10 years' experience in depot level structural installations on large military cargo aircraft or commercial equivalents.
• Ability to read schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications; install per drawings while maintaining edge distance and pitch.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and/or create major assembly structures and perform minor part-fit operations (filing, sawing, burring, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, reaming).

Are you a skilled Airframe Technician ready to work on cutting-edge aircraft in a dynamic and supportive environment? We're looking for detail-oriented, hands-on professionals to join our team and play a vital role in maintaining the safety, performance, and integrity of aircraft structures.

As an Airframe Technician at SelectTech, you will be using your skills and expertise to assemble and/or create major assembly structures and minor part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming. You will be responsible for aligning parts on jigs and aerospace vehicles using templates and fixtures and measuring parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions. You also may be responsible for modifying incomplete and complete assemblies and incorporating the changes into the structure, and monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

What We're Looking For:

• High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• 5-10 years' experience performing depot level structural installations/repairs on large military cargo aircraft or commercial equivalents.
• Ability to understand and interpret applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications; ability to complete installations per technical drawings while maintaining edge distance and pitch.
• Progressive experience with structure assembly, minor part fitting techniques and repair and refinishing such as airframe corrosion removal/prevention, as applicable
• Ability to install various fasteners such as rivets and hi-locks.
• May require certain certifications in field.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience operating within an AS9100 Quality Management System.
• Effective communication skills in a fast paced, complex manufacturing environment
• Able to work as a part of a team or alone depending on complexity of installation.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant License, preferred, but not required.
• Relevant prior military service working on C-130 variant airframes.
• Solid judgement and decision-making skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills.
• Must be able to qualify for and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
