Job summary

Cubic Corporation is seeking its Vice President, Chief Financial Officer for Cubic Transportation Systems. This executive will partner with CTS leadership to drive growth, profitability and cash flow, implementing rigorous controls and EV metrics while guiding budgeting, forecasts and strategic plans.

The role requires seasoned global finance leadership and strong stakeholder management. The position oversees large, complex programs, supports acquisitions, and shapes investment decisions.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in Accounting or Finance with at least fifteen years progressive finance and project accounting experience required.
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience with general ledger, P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Strong global people leadership skills with a track record of hiring, retaining, and developing global top talent, experience leading teams of at least 10 reports for 5 years.
• Ability to identify, summarize and extract key issues from complex contractual arrangements.
• Ability to build strong partnerships with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
• Displays an entrepreneurial approach to the business constantly securing opportunities for improvement.
• Has the ability to communicate a vision & business strategy to the team and formulate plans to achieve the vision.
• Ability to identify areas of under-performance and agree plans to rectify.
• Must be self-motivated, pragmatic, influential and able to work independently.
• Diligent, with attention to detail.
• Able to problem solve and find effective and timely resolutions.
• Ability to motivate and lead others to achieve individual and shared goals.
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, culturally aware with a willingness to share knowledge, coach and collaborate effectively with individuals and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Drive the financial performance of Transportation Systems and maintain strong financial controls.
• Develop the annual operating and strategic plan as CTS SLT member.
• Hire, develop and retain a high-performance global finance team.
• Mentor successors and manage employee engagement.
• Coach and build financial acumen across the business.
• Influence pricing and bid financials and drive large-scale transformations.
• Oversee earned value practices, forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis.
• Lead CAPEX, R&D and other investment decision processes.
• Provide management with timely insights and financial risk assessment.
• Support due diligence and integration for new acquisitions.
