Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal, a leading provider of CFO services, seeks a Manager to lead data collection, validation and analysis for PE-owned portfolios. You will guide client interviews, identify gaps and forecast liquidity needs while improving finance processes and organizational design.

You will apply strong financial modeling, analytics and presentation skills to deliver credible plans and value creation, partnering with senior management and boards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited 4-year college/university with concentration in accounting, finance, economics preferred but not required.
• 7-10 years of experience related to: Accounting/Finance, Financial Due Diligence, Restructuring, Investment Banking or Private Equity.
• Proficient financial models, data analytics programs, and presentation skills.
• CPA, CFA, or Master’s Degree Preferred but not Required.

Responsibilities

• Guide team members in information gathering approach and ensure all relevant sources of information are pursued.
• Guide and lead client interviews, ask inquisitive questions and understand different stakeholders’ perspective.
• Identify knowledge gaps, guide the team to challenge status quo, validate, disprove and/or develop better assumptions.
• Identify key business challenges, accurately forecast liquidity needs, pinpoint financial/accounting process inefficiencies and assess the organization’s design, roles and team.
• Ensure issues and opportunities are clearly and concisely presented.
• Understanding accounting and finance process flows and how information is consolidated into the general ledger, to ensure improvement and value creation.
