Ethos Veterinary Health in Mundelein, IL is seeking a Veterinary Technician for Emergency & Critical Care. This full-time role requires 36+ hours weekly with 12-hour or 9-hour shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Triaging incoming patients and managing clients during visits.

  • Complete daily patient treatments and ensure timely care.
  • Monitor hospitalized patients and assist with anesthesia and nursing duties.
  • Coordinate with the Emergency & Critical Care team to maintain smooth patient flow.

Veterinary Technician | Emergency & Critical Care | Full-Time | 2nd and 3rd Shift Available | Either 3 Twelve or 4 Nine Hour Shifts Per Week | $22-30/hr Depending On Experience | Mundelein, IL

The primary responsibility is to triage and provide care for patients presenting to and hospitalized in our Emergency and Critical Care Department. The successful candidate embodies our culture in treating every client with the utmost courteous and attentive treatment possible, with a keen sensitivity to the emotional bond between owners and their pets.

Schedule and Compensation
  • Full time needed
  • 36+ hours per week, either 3 at 12 hours or 4 at 9 hours scheduled
  • Swing andnight shifts available
  • Weekends are required
  • Participation in some holiday coverage
  • $22-30/hr -depending on experience
  • Applicable shift differentials $5/hr for overnights!

Qualifications
  • Certification or licensing as a veterinary technician preferred but all skill levels are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities
  • Triaging incoming patients and managing clients throughout their visit
  • Partnering with DVM’s in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
  • Completing patient daily treatments in a timely manner at key treatment times
  • Assessing hospitalized patients, using intuitive skills as a technician
  • Assisting with flow and organization of Emergency and Critical Caredepartment
  • Obtaining and processing laboratory samples such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates
  • Utilizing different modalities of imaging for patient assessment
  • Executing, monitoring, and recovering all assigned sedation and anesthetic events
  • General nursing care and treatment of patients
  • Administering and monitoring anesthesia
  • Assisting the veterinarian in procedures
  • Admitting and discharging patients
  • Client communication and education
